Meet the Teams

Lida started her career in 2016 on the Lee Canyon Ski Patrol.  The team has been a part of the Purgatory Ski Patrol since the 2019 winter season making them the first certified Avalanche Rescue Dogs at Purgatory. She and Michelle have attended the Switzerland Standards for Avalanche Rescue Dogs, WBR Training (Wasatch Backcountry Rescue X2 ) and CRAD (Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment Training) to become the certified Avalanche Rescue Dog she is today.  They both attend annual training at CRAD to keep their skills validated and up to date. While Lida and Michelle are the most seasoned team members at their skill level, they share their knowledge and training with the other teams of B.A.R.K. to make it a well rounded group. Lida, now retired, gets to enjoy the spoils of her long career and share with the new generation while Michelle share her knowledge as Lead Dog Trainer
